What Adults Get
While the children participate in their group, their caregivers attend a peer support meeting of their own. Facilitated by trained volunteers, this group has multiple goals.
In the adult group, caregivers are given a safe space to find peer support regarding the challenges of parenting grieving children and teens and their own experiences of grief. Facilitators work together with the adult participants to create an environment that is welcoming to the range of perspectives, feelings, needs, and experiences members may bring.
